Position Details:
This is a live-in position with board and lodging provided. The role offers a negotiable 10/4 roster. Are you passionate about supporting others and have Christian values. Working in an amazing environment and participating in the miracle of transforming lives? Employer is currently seeking both Male and Female Support Workers to join their dedicated team. As a Support Worker, you will work closely with residents, engaging with them as they progress through their rehabilitation journey and empowering them to lead restored lives. Provide compassionate care and support services to residents in our rehabilitation program. Work alongside residents, offering guidance as they develop and practice new skills for long-term change. Monitor personal care and hygiene of residents, supporting the improvement of life skills. Facilitate recreational games, activities and community involvement.
Role Requirements:
• Is adaptable, forward-thinking, and thrives in a dynamic, team-orientated environment.
• Possess excellent communication skills and can engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ideally has previous experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs or has worked within not-for-profit or charitable organisations. If not, don’t worry – we’re happy to help you grow into the role.
• Holds, or is working towards, a Certificate III or IV in Community Services AOD (highly favourable)
• Comfortable in a Christian faith-based environment.
• Exceptional skills in multi-tasking, managing priorities and demonstrating initiative.
• Previous experience working in a rehabilitation setting is a significant advantage. |
